Witch Way to the 5K Post Cardigan Registration Discount!!

Join us for the 8th annual Witch Way to the 5K  on Saturday, October 28, 2017. The kids 1K race starts at 9:30am and the adult race begins at 10am at Lurgio Middle School.

Special Note for 8th Grade Parents - Cardigan Dismissal Information


October 13, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I want to communicate with you the pick-up procedure regarding eighth grade students returning from Mt. Cardigan on Wednesday and Friday of next week. If it is at all possible, we ask that you allow your students to be dismissed at the regular time (3:15PM) through the typical means (end of day announcements).

When the students return from the trip, there is a lunch provided for them. Once the lunch is over, students will work with teachers to begin to finalize the trip. Camping/hiking gear will be cleaned, inventoried, and stored. Students will begin to share data that is necessary for summative assessments that will conclude the unit. It is important that the students are here to complete these tasks.

As always, you have the right to sign-out your student prior to dismissal. If you need to dismiss your child prior to 2:35PM, please enter the building through the Main Office Entrance and check-in with the Main Office staff. We will assist you with the dismissal of your child. If you are dismissing your child after 2:35PM, you can make your way directly to your child’s homeroom, and the teacher will dismiss your child to you.

A Request from the School Nurse for 8th Grade Parents:

Hello 8th Grade Parents.  


Cardigan will be here before we know it!!  If your student requires any prescription medication  during the Cardigan trip, please bring it to school by Thursday, October 13th.  I will be packing the Wed-Thurs PODS prior to my leaving on Monday with the first group of students.   Prescription medication needs to be in the labeled, prescribed bottle with only those doses needed for the trip.  Please bring the Medication Physician Permission Form, with MD signature.  The form can be downloaded at the district website under health services.  Tylenol and Motrin will be available for students as needed.  If there are any over the counter medications needed for your student, please drop them off to the health office as well.  Thank you!

Chromebook Pickup Information

Any students who still need to pick up their chromebook or drop off their chromebook to be configured can do so Tuesday.  Please have those students can come to the Tech Corner in the back of the Media Center.  Students who still need to pay for devices can bring a check or can pay online through SendMoneytoSchool.com.  Any questions, please contact Donna Dennis dennisd@sau25.net.
